Photographic Research

‘The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things in words’

~ Elliott Erwitt

Are you curious about where an ancestor once lived?

Would you love a photograph of a family grave or an image of the church that they were married in?

Over the years I have taken SO may images of the places where my ancestors were ‘hatched, matched and dispatched!

To stand on an old step that they once did, visit the place they once called home or discover a tiny street that they once walked along.

To stand at the foot of their grave in a quiet churchyard or stand on a cliff top and take in the same view as an ancestor once did before they suffered a fatal fall.

Photography brings all of this history to light and more! What’s NOT to love!

Although I undertake photography on the instructions of a client and as every research commission is as unique as the person who is requesting it – our informal chat by way of my no-obligation initial consultation will ensure that my time with camera to hand is productive for both you and I.

You can now take a peek at my photographic portfolio as The Dead Sleuth and the Graveyard Squirrel with a visit to Flickr.
